ICCS Cub Scout Pack 21

The ICCS Cub Scout Pack 12 is for boys in 1st - 5th grades and welcomes boys from the school, parish and community.  Since its beginning, the Cub Scout program has been a fun and educational experience concerned with values. Besides providing a positive place where boys can enjoy safe, wholesome activities, Cub Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of community service.  Contact: Peter Alfonso, 494-1874

Liturgy of the Word for Children

Liturgy of the Word for Children takes place during the 10 am Mass on Sundays usually between September and May.  This ministry provides a worship experience geared especially for children ages four and up that mirrors the worship experience of the larger community - emphasizing the traditions and outward signs, spoken responses, and gestures of the Mass - with a style that is engaging and interactive. The children are dismissed for the Liturgy of the Word and return at the offertory.  Readings from the Children's Lectionary are used for better understanding at this age.  Contact: Amanda Harkins

Parish Religious Education

Religious Education Sessions for school age children (K - 8th) are offered on Sunday mornings each year usually September through May. Registration procedure is announced in the weekly Parish Bulletin.   REGISTER HERE!

First Eucharist and First Reconciliation are received during the spring usually when the child is in the second grade. Confirmation is administered to those in the eighth grade or older, also in the spring during the Easter Season. Diocesan requirements state that a child must be enrolled in religious education classes or a Catholic School for at least one year prior to sacrament year (example:  children should be in PRE in first and second grade in order to receive First Eucharist in the spring of second grade).  Attendance by parents at parental sacrament meetings is also required.  Contact: Aileen Palmer 435-5281
